Welcome

The aim of the blog VisualCockpit is to provide graphical programs like several VUs (Visual Units) which can be found on real cockpit like Airbus, and other types of programs used on plateforms such as flight simulators.

Each Visual Unit or graphical program can be launched on a computer, and you can animate them with another network application, which is also provided as a librarie developed in several languages (C++, CSharp, VisualBasic.NET, Java, Python) and for several systems (Windows, Linux).

The VUs were first developped for teaching of Flight Dynamics or flight mechanics on Flight Simulator PEGASE from ISAE Supaero.

What is Visual Cockpit ?

A visual unit is a system of visualisationpresent on Airbus cockpit. They are simplified versions of the Airbu's EFIS and ECAM : PFD, ND, EWD(N1 and EPR), FCTL.

These VUs have been developped for teaching of flight dynamics and flight mecanics, and not for the pilots formation. So, this his why our EFIS and ECAM are not complete like those who are in a real Airbus cockpit. However, they have essential functionalities and they are enough animated for being used in some simulation or research projects.
You can find these VUs in the Visual Units part. A documentation is also provided with each VU.

Several others specific visualisations will be added to this list like the TDB or ILD.

What is ApiVUsCockpit ?

ApiVUsCockpit is a little software who animated each VUs with an example.
This software exist in different computer languages : C/C++, C#, VisualBasic, Java, Python 2.8, Python 3.3.2 .
With the application, you can download the library and make your own software.
